Origin

Gondo coffee factory was established in 1998 in Murang'a County's Mathioya District (Kihoya subregion). 727 producers deliver cherry here. Ripe red cherries are hand-picked, then sorted a second time to remove under/overripes and foreign matter. Same-day delivery to the wet mill ensures fresh processing using water from the nearby Kananahu stream, which is recirculated before disposal into evaporation/seepage pits to protect local waterways. Beans are pulped, fermented 16-18 hours, washed, and graded, then sun-dried to consistent moisture before hulling, sorting, and bagging.
